Advice for parents
For your child's well-being:
- Dress your child according to the weather to protect them from the cold (gloves, hat, warm jacket, etc.).
- Equip them correctly: skis and boots adapted to their size and level. Poles are only necessary from 1ère Etoile upwards.
- Helmets are strongly recommended for all lessons.
- Slip a small snack into your child's pocket, ideal for a quick break!
- Parents' mobile phone numbers are required in case of minor problems.
- Depending on the level of the course, your child will need a valid ski pass.
- Leave it to the instructor to change levels if necessary for your child's well-being.
For the course to run smoothly:
- Arrive early at the meeting point noted on your course card.
- The esf does not insure students. Check your personal insurance or take out the Carré Neige Intégral as an optional extra when you buy your lesson.
- The ski pass is not included in the price of the lesson and is compulsory for access to the ski lifts.
- Equipment is not included in the lesson price, so please bring your own.
- Programmes and timetables may be modified during the season by the esf.
- Weather conditions and lift breakdowns are not the responsibility of the instructors.
Safety rules
- Behave in such a way as not to endanger others.
- Adapt your speed and behaviour to your personal abilities and to the general conditions of the terrain and the weather, the state of the snow and the density of traffic.
- Choose a trajectory that ensures the safety of anyone downstream.
- Overtake wide enough to prevent the person you are overtaking from moving.
- Make sure you can safely enter a runway or practice area.
- In the event of a fall, clear the runway as quickly as possible.
- Use the edge of the piste to go up or down on foot.
- All skiers must respect the markings and signs.
- All skiers must provide assistance in the event of an accident.
- If you are involved in an accident or just a witness, please identify yourself.
choose my ski pass
- Children in Club Piou Piou may need to leave the kindergarten. If this is the case, a ski pass may be required, and the instructor will inform you of the need to buy a points-card ski pass.
- For children under 5, the lift pass is free, and can be collected from the lift desks on presentation of proof of the child's age.
- For children over 5, a points card may be required for the first ski lifts.
- For beginners and Flocons, a points card system is available: 5 or 10 points that can be recharged for an unlimited period of time during the current season (1 pass on the beginner lift costs 1 point).
- For children, Flocon, 1ère Etoile and beginners as well as adult beginners: an Evolution package is available.
- From 1ère Etoile upwards, the Val d'Arly ski pass is required.

The esf does not insure its students, so we suggest that you check your personal insurance cover and, if necessary, take out ski insurance to ensure that your stay is as worry-free as possible.
